Organizations:

Visio & Bartiméus are Dutch organizations that provide support and services to people with visual impairments. They offer a variety of programs and resources, including assistive technology, rehabilitation services, and educational programs.

Visio has a team of experts who can help you choose the right assistive technology for your needs, including the Hable One Bluetooth Braille Keyboard.

Oogcafés are local gatherings that are organized for people with visual impairments in the Netherlands. One of the topics that is often discussed at these gatherings is new technology that can assist people with visual impairments in their daily lives.

If you are a part of an Oogcafé and are interested in learning more about the Hable One braille keyboard, you may be able to arrange for a representative from Hable to visit your local gathering.

It would also be a chance for Hable to learn more about the needs and preferences of people with visual impairments in the Netherlands and how they can continue to develop and improve their products to better serve this community.

Govt funding and health insurance:

In some cases, it may be possible to obtain funding for a Hable One device through government programs like the UWV in the Netherlands. The UWV (Uitvoeringsinstituut Werknemersverzekeringen) is the Dutch Employee Insurance Agency, which provides financial assistance to people with disabilities or impairments who need special equipment or services to perform their work.

However, it is important to note that the availability of funding may vary depending on individual circumstances and eligibility criteria.

Alternatively, health insurance may also cover the cost of a Hable One device, but the process of obtaining coverage may be complex and time-consuming. Reach out to support@iamhable.com with your details and we can help you.

It is important to check with your health insurance provider to determine whether they cover assistive technology devices like the Hable One, and if so, what the coverage limits and requirements are.

The most straightforward way to obtain a Hable One in the Netherlands is to purchase it from the Hable website directly. Once the purchase is complete, the device will reach you in a week’s time maximum because it is shipped locally.

If you wish to acquire it via health insurance or UWV, this is also possible of course, but you can expect some waiting time on this. We are with you through the process though, so please still reach out to us if you are willing to take this route!

Training and support

For every new customer, we offer a free 30 minute onboarding session with someone directly from Hable, so you are guaranteed to have all the base knowledge you need to master your smartphone. Even if you purchased via a distributor, this offer still stands.

To arrange this session, reach out to support@iamhable.com. In case you need more than 30 minutes, this can also be arranged. Make sure to mention this in your email.

Another fantastic source of support is our community group! Here, many users like you post their queries and concerns, which are then addressed by other users of the Hable One.

It’s a welcoming place, and if you would like to be a part of it (to even ask questions before you make your purchase) send us an email at support@iamhable.com.
