Updating with Android app gives error

Regular software updates are crucial to ensure optimal performance and compatibility. However, some users have encountered errors while attempting to update their Hable One devices using Android app. In this blog post, we will guide you through the steps to update your Hable One to the Android version and address common issues that may arise during the process.

To update your Hable One keyboard to the July version using the Android app, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that you have secure internet connection.
  2. Download the Android app on the play store: Visit Google Play Store  at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hable.hable_firmware_update&pcampaignid=web_share
  3. Install the app and accept the permissions.
  4. Click the July 2023 Option from the list.
  5. The Hable vibrates indicating that the update has begun.

If you encounter an error while attempting to update your Hable One to the July version, consider the following potential causes and solutions:

  1. Installation of December Update: Ensure that the December 2022 update was installed correctly on your Hable One. If there were any issues during the December update installation, it could impact the January update process.
  2. Deleting Older Toolbox Versions: Before downloading the December toolbox, make sure you have deleted any previous versions of the toolbox. Sometimes, even if you open the most recently downloaded toolbox, the older version might still appear. To resolve this, delete all outdated updating toolboxes and re-download the latest one from this link: https://update.iamhable.com/windows/beta/. Then, proceed to install the December update on your Hable One again.
  3. Ensure Active Internet Connection: Verify that your phone has a stable and active internet connection. If the app displays an error message during the update process, it may indicate that your phone is not connected to the internet. Check your phone's connectivity settings and establish a reliable connection before proceeding with the update.
  4. Verify Bluetooth Connection: Sometimes, even if your Bluetooth settings indicate that the Hable One is connected, the app may still encounter issues. If you have ruled out the above potential causes, disconnect and forget the Hable One from your Bluetooth device list. Then, repair the Hable One and attempt the update process again.

If the troubleshooting steps mentioned above do not resolve the error you encountered during the update, do not hesitate to contact the Hable support team. Reach out to them at support@iamhable.com, and they will guide you through the update process, providing step-by-step assistance and addressing any concerns you may have.
