Stactiles™ - Tactiele Stickers - Wassen

I'm a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist and have worked in the field of blindness and low vision for more than 20 years, so I was excited to see these tactile labels from Hable available on Amazon. I've used a number of Hable products over the years and have always been impressed with the quality, and these are no exception. The tactile symbols are very well designed. The edges are crisp and distinct, and they're raised enough that someone with no light perception can easily tell one symbol from another by touch alone. That's one of the most important characteristics of a good tactile label, and these do it very well.I also like that the labels use high-contrast colors. Someone with usable vision may not rely entirely on touch, so having both tactile and visual contrast makes these useful for a much wider range of people with vision loss. The adhesive has held well in my testing, although I always recommend wiping the surface with a little rubbing alcohol before applying any adhesive label. Taking a minute to remove any dust and oils gives any label a much better chance of staying put over the long term.In the past, I've often used traditional bump dots to label appliances. They work well, but they're usually limited to simple round or square shapes. What I like about these is that each symbol is unique, making it much easier to identify individual buttons and functions by touch without having to memorize a combination of similar shapes. They do cost more than a package of standard bump dots, but I think the additional tactile information they provide easily justifies the difference in price. For anyone who is blind, has low vision, or works in the field of vision rehabilitation, I think these are an excellent accessibility product. They're well made, thoughtfully designed, and do exactly what they're intended to do. Five stars from me.

You should understand that these are not thick, deeply raised stickers. They are slightly raised, enough that you can carefully feel the shape. They are made for people with visual impairment who are more sensitive to touch. As a sighted person, one can use these, but I suspect they will have to take a moment to feel it out.My unconventional use...I have a couple of pool robots. They have switches with imprints indicating their function. The imprints are those little kinds that offer minimal contrast with the plastic. They are low on the robot. I have to get a flashlight to see them.In come these stickers. I put them around the switch or on either side of it so I can feel which way to go.They've gone diving once in my chlorinated pool, for four hours. The photo shows it is still attached and colored.

The stickers have a very nice raised surface of a rubbery material. You can feel the shapes on each sticker very easily. The size is about half an inch for each sticker. It is not the felt surface stickers for blind people, this is a lot higher quality. I tried sticking them on top of some concave buttons and it didn't work as well because the stickers are not so flexible, but on flat surfaces they stick perfectly.

I occasionally work with visually impaired students. These are well-done. The colors have different patterns, and the shapes are well-outlined. These make following along with some of our controls on our robotic arms easier. The shapes are standard enough to apply to many things. Unfortunately, my smart washer would not work with most of these, since the dial is LED, and doesn't have a set position. That doesn't change that these stickers are great for so many uses. These are thick, maybe vinyl, and would hold up well to cleaning and being wiped down.

These laundry appliance stickers are exactly what I needed to make my washer and dryer easier to use. The tactile symbols are clear, easy to feel, and very helpful for identifying different wash programs like wool, eco, steam, and ironing. The adhesive is strong, and the stickers feel durable, water resistant, and high quality even in a busy laundry room. I love that they work with touch screens without reducing sensitivity, which makes them super convenient for modern appliances. They were easy to apply, easy to use, and made a big difference right away. Great results, excellent accessibility solution, and a smart cost-saving alternative to buying special appliances. Highly recommend for anyone looking for durable laundry stickers, tactile washing machine labels, dryer control stickers, accessibility aids, or easy-to-use appliance labels.

These puffy stickers will help someone who is visually-impaired to use their washer and dryer more easily, preventing mistakes and frustration.

My friend’s daughter lost her vision overnight because of a tumor. Once we learned that her sight was not going to return, our focus shifted from waiting for recovery to helping her adapt to a completely different world. These tactile laundry stickers are one of those seemingly small tools that can make a meaningful difference. The raised symbols allow her to identify settings on the washer and dryer by touch, giving her more control over a routine task that most people never have to think twice about. The different shapes are easy to distinguish, and the fact that they are made to resist water and steam is important in a laundry area. What I appreciate most is that they support independence without making the appliance complicated or requiring a major modification. They are simple, durable markers that help turn an unfamiliar control panel into something she can navigate confidently. For someone who is blind or visually impaired, these are far more than stickers. They are a small step toward making everyday life feel manageable again.
