How it works

  • 1. Scan a Tag or Barcode

Use your phone to scan a barcode or NFC tag on the item.

  • 2. Create a Custom Label

Add a title, description, or voice note to identify the item.

  • 3. Identify Objects Instantly

Next time you scan it, the app reads the label out loud.

A visually impaired person uses a smartphone to scan an NFC-labeled jar of herbs. On the table are other labeled items, including a folded sweater and file folders. The phone screen displays the SpeechLabel logo, and the scene is set in a clean, well-lit room with a minimal, organized layout.

Label anything in your life

Full independence with your ownly created audio labels. Label anything from clothing, to files to herbs. Use NFC or your camera (compatible with 10+ barcode types). Super easy and 100% reliable.

A person uses a tablet displaying the SpeechLabel logo to manage audio labels, while holding a jar with a visible barcode. A smartphone nearby also shows the SpeechLabel logo. The scene is minimalistic, with clean white surfaces and soft lighting, highlighting cloud-based syncing across devices.

Barcode Labels

Our Aztec barcodes are designed so you only need to scan about 10% of the sticker, even at an angle. Just point your camera loosely in the right direction, and it reads instantly. No perfect aim needed, fully optimized for blind users.

A person sits at a light wooden table, viewed from behind, looking at a large black envelope with the orange Hable logo. Several orange labels with the same logo are partially visible inside the envelope. A smartphone lies next to it, showing the SpeechLabel app logo. A small green plant in a white pot adds a touch of color to the clean, minimal setting.

NFC Tags

Our NFC labels let you identify items by simply tapping your phone on the sticker. It's perfect for shelves or drawers where multiple items are close together, no need to aim your camera, just tap and hear the info.

Works fully in the cloud

Save labels locally or in the cloud to share with others at home, work, or in your organization. The app works on phones and tablets, saving costs and syncing labels across devices.

Our Story

Speechlabel was built by a small team, led by a developer who now advises companies around the world on how to build truly accessible apps. He’s spent building apps that don’t just meet standards, but genuinely work for blind and visually impaired users. If anyone was meant to build this, it was him.

But the team behind Speechlabel was made up entirely of developers and product creators, not marketers. So while the app quietly became a lifeline for its users, it never reached the audience it deserved.

That is where Hable comes in. We are bringing Speechlabel to the world. With an improved interface, better guides, and new labels, we are making it even easier to use. We know this app will help thousands of people live more independently.
