How do I use these stickers with the Speechlabel app?

Just download the free Speechlabel app on your phone and scan a sticker. After scanning, you can record a voice message or type a short description. The next time you scan the same sticker, the app will instantly play back or display your saved information. It’s quick, easy, and designed to be fully accessible.

Do these stickers work on Metal?

All the Barcode stickers work on metal, NFC stickers generally do not work.

What are Aztec stickers?

Aztec stickers are advanced versions of QR codes, specially designed for fast and reliable scanning. Unlike QR codes, a camera only needs to capture about 10% of an Aztec code for it to work, making them perfect for quick, accurate scans. This makes them especially useful for blind and visually impaired users, since you don’t need to perfectly align the sticker with the camera. They’re small, powerful, and optimized for accessibility.

Do I need internet to use SpeechLabel?

Yes. You need an internet connection to create new labels and to scan labels made by others.

Do the stickers stick to frozen packages?

The stickers do not adhere well to cold or moist surfaces. Make sure the surface is dry before applying the sticker; otherwise, the adhesive will not hold on frosted surfaces.

Do NFC stickers work in the freezer?

Yes, most NFC stickers continue to work even in freezing temperatures.

Easy to use, I mainly speak text. Notice: befor the recording is spoken, there's a fairly long pause - not sure why. Apart from that I have nothing to complain about.

Einfach genial!!!

Von der Idee, Wäscheknöpfe mit MFC-Chips zu versehen, war ich begeistert. Ich suchte bereits seit längerem nach einer Möglichkeit, meine Tischdecken zu kennzeichnen (Größe oder Waschtemperatur). Es gibt im Blindenhilfsmittelbereich teure Geräte mit waschbaren Etiketten, die man aber nicht an Tischdecken befestigen kann.So habe ich mihr Anfang Januar ein Paket Knöpfe über Amazon bestellt. Sie waren viel schneller als die angegebene Lieferzeit bei mir eingetroffen. Zuerst habe ich viel ausprobiert und rumgespielt. Vor Kurzem wurden die Knöpfe in allen meinen Hosen befestigt, welche ich mit der jeweiligen Farbe "beschriftet" habe. Nun kann ich selbstständig im dunklen Kleiderschrank die richtige Hose raussuchen.Weil so schon viele Knöpfe verbraucht sind, bestellte ich mir letzte Woche noch ein Paket, welches auch schon da ist.

Great but a bit bulky

The functionality is perfect, scan is instant. However, they are a tiny bit thicker than I expected. You can feel them when you wear thin shirts. Best for coats and trousers.

Hard to sew for me

I have arthritis in addition to low vision, so sewing these on was difficult. I wish there was an iron-on version. Once attached though, they work like a charm.
