As part of the Hable community, you and your privacy are of high importance to us. Making smartphones accessible for blind and visually impaired people is crucial, but not always easy. To achieve our vision of making blind and visually impaired people more independent through technology, Hable products collect and analyse your smartphone usage.

1. What data does Hable collect?

1.1 When you buy a product

When you purchase a Product, we collect transaction information, such as information about the Products you purchase, shipping and delivery information and information related to returns, refunds and cancellations.

1.2 When you use our services

Whenever anyone visits the Hable Sites, we will collect standard log data, such as: the page that they were referred from, the actions they performed, their browser type, App version, their operating system and the pages viewed. We also collect information about the computer or mobile device you use to access our Services, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.

1.3 When you interact with Hable and others in the Hable community

In your pursuit for an inclusive future, we encourage you to be active in the Hable community. When communicating with the Hable community in public areas or social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, any information you provide may become public information. At times Hable will also collect and store this information to help improve your experience, learn more about your tastes as a Hable community member, and for marketing purposes.

We encourage you to take care when providing information in public forums, especially information that may pertain to your identity or health. 1.4 When you contact the Hable team

There’s nothing more annoying than having to repeat yourself, so when you contact us, we collect personal information such as your name, email address, and any other information you provide. We keep a record of this information, along with the nature of your requests over time. This helps us learn more about your experience using Hable Products, your preferences, and how we are best placed to help you. Storing and analysing this data, also helps us identify how to optimise and improve the Hable experience for everyone. We may also monitor, record and retain your communications with us for security, dispute resolution and training reasons.

1.5 When you assist in Hable's research

From time to time, the Hable team will reach out to you for your advice and opinions on our Products and Services, for Hable’s research purposes to improve our current Products and Services and develop new ones. Such surveys will only be sent by Hable and authorised research affiliates - they will be clearly marked as for use by Hable only, unless stated otherwise. Surveys may collect both anonymous and identifiable information.

1.6 Hable uses cookies and other similar technologies

Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us improve our Products and Services, improve your experience, see which areas and features of our Services are popular, and to count visits. We use this data to learn more about your experience using the Services, so that we can constantly improve your Hable experience.

2. How does Hable use and disclose data?

We may use and disclose personal information for various purposes related to the running of the Hable BV, including to:

  • Provide, maintain and improve our Products and Services;

  • Personalize the Products and Services, such as by providing content or features likely to interest you;

3. Special deals and promotions

With your consent, we’ll keep you in the loop about special Hable deals and promotions. These might include opportunities to refer a friend, access discounts, attend events and win prizes. 4. When does Hable share collected information?

5. Advertising and analytics services provided by others

We may allow others to provide analytics services and serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet and in applications. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Services and other websites and applications, including your IP address, web browser, mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in apps, links clicked and conversion information. This information may be used by Hable and others to, among other things, analyse and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests on our Services and other websites and better understand your online activity.

8. Social sharing features

The Services may offer social sharing features and other integrated tools (such as the Facebook "Like" button), which let you share actions you take on our Services with other media platforms, and vice versa. Your use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the entity that provides the social sharing feature.
